Multi-skilled Service Engineer

Due to continued growth we are seeking an experienced, multi-skilled service engineer to join our busy service team. 

We would be willing to employ an experienced fire alarm or security engineer who is willing to cross train.

Duties will include, but not be limited to:

- Carry out maintenance of fire, security, CCTV, access control, emergency lights and other automated systems, in line with relevant BAFE and SSAIB Standards.

- Provide on-site technical support and solutions to customers during both reactive and routine visits.

- Undertake fault finding and problem solving when attending call outs/break downs and, where possible, carry out repairs to prevent a return visit.

- Advise customers on new services and system upgrades or improvements to increase efficiency.

- Participate in a 24-hour emergency cover rota (currently this equates to 1 week in every 7).

- Complete all work reports and company paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.

- Adhere to health and safety requirements.

Key requirements for the role:- 

- At least 5 years' proven work experience in the industry.

- Good working knowledge of BS5839, BS5266 and other relevant standards.

- Be in possession of an up to date ECS Card, with associated qualifications and industry recognised certificates.

- Be customer focused to build solid working relationships.

- Have good communication and organisational skills.

- Be confident working independently, as well as part of a team, with a positive attitude.

- Full UK driving licence.

Travel and working away will occasionally be required. This role is subject to a DBS check.

Salary/Package:

- £30,000-40,000 per annum plus overtime (estimated overall earnings to be approx. 50k).

- 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
