Sprinkler Systems - DPJ

DPJ Sprinklers Ltd

Sprinkler systems are recognised as an extremely effective method for fighting the spread of a fire in its early stages, consequently minimising injury and damage to assets and property.

There are several types of sprinkler systems and they are specifically designed to suit the purpose of a building. DPJ can assist in choosing the right system for you and our sprinkler specialists ensure all systems are installed and maintained in accordance with the latest standards.

We also specialise in the installation, maintenance and servicing of the following systems:

Dry Riser: A dry riser is an empty pipe that can be externally connected to a pressurised water source by firefighters. It is used to supply water to multiple levels of a building or structure, as part of a fire suppression system.

Wet Riser: A Wet Riser is required where a building reaches over 45 metres in height. It operates in the same way as a Dry Riser, however, the pipe is constantly charged with water and has a water storage tank. To boost the water to over 45 metres, it also has duty and standby pumps.

Fire Hydrants: Fire Hydrants are connection points to enable firefighters to connect to a water supply.

Pump Rooms: Pump rooms provide a mains feed via an electric or diesel pump to ensure continuous water pressure when fighting a fire. They form part of a large sprinkler installation where a mains supply would not be sufficient and water storage tanks are required.

Water Mist System: Mist systems use very fine water sprays to control, suppress or extinguish a fire. There are many advantages of water mist systems, such as immediate activation and reduced water damage.
