A Kentec Taktis panel helps to protect hotel staff and guests at stylish new build hotel
DPJ Fire and Security Ltd were invited by an FM company to tender for the design, supply, and installation of a new fire alarm system in a new build hotel project for an international hotel brand.
The installation of the new fire alarm commenced in January 2020. With over two hundred and fifty rooms spanning five floors the design needed eleven loops in total. Ordinarily, this would require a special build panel or three panels networked together, but DPJ turned to Kentec Electronics product suite and the flagship Taktis 16 loop panel.
The 16 loop panel gave DPJ the flexibility and power to meet the client’s cause and effects needs with interfacing to third party damper and AOV systems whilst providing scope to incorporate the hotel’s future changes and expansion plans.
The full-colour touch-screen 7” display of the Taktis panel provides an intuitive and easy-to-use interface and the system flexibility is such that it can be re-configured to realise multiple control and indication applications.
Project handover was in September 2020 and the hotel opened its doors to the public in early November 2020.
